Our Program Director
and Lead Teacher

Chelsea Cogdell

A Blue Ridge native, Chelsea has worked with children since she was in her
pre-teens, employed with random babysitting jobs and eventually graduating to full-time nanny in her early adult years.

She has 5 children given to her through natural birth, foster care, and adoption.
All of her children have had versatile exposures to education, having attended private and public schools, and having been homeschooled by Chelsea totaling over a decade.

Chelsea has worked in tutoring capacities throughout her entire life. She and her children were involved in a homeschooling co-op, where she was employed for four years as a lead teacher in classrooms of eight students aged 5-10 years old.

She is described by others as a positively fun, enthusiastic human who maintains order and structure through explicit expectations. She is patient, intelligent, self-driven, and extroverted.
These qualities make her an exceptional teacher.

The last 5 years, Chelsea has built a successful residential waste management business. While she still owns the waste management business, she is thankful that that company has become lucrative, which has allowed her to now be able to pour her energy into what she truly loves-- nurturing children through play, education, and character development.
